Why "The Cookbook"?
Whether programmer or designer, the Hex Cookbook helps you "cook up a storm"; create a new widget, module, layout, function, user-interface, database or anything for that matter. This is way beyond documentation.
The cookbook aims to be the bridge between system designers, programmers and all other stakeholders.
This approach opens up the potential for a new genre of curricula that includes items which make documentation interesting, accessible and useful for the less "technically oriented" of those among us. This is important since the non-technical people are the majority of the stakeholders.
The cookbook aims to feature as an asset for traditional "Communications and Marketing" purposes. The cookbook aims to be the bridge between developer and all other stakeholders (usually referred to as "end users").
Discoverability is crucial ~ one of the key purposes of the cookbook.
